Instagram influencer rate calculator
A brand is buying attention, so your price should reflect how many followers actually respond to you and how much your niche is worth, not just your follower total. Add followers, engagement rate and niche, then the posts, reels and stories requested plus any usage rights or exclusivity, and the calculator puts together a complete quote. You also see how your price compares with a typical account of the same size.
Your quote, line by line
Every deliverable at your rate, with usage rights and exclusivity added at the end. This is the itemised quote to send.

Feed post price as your following grows
Your niche and base rate at other follower counts, using the normal engagement for each size. An engaged follower on a small account is worth just as much to a brand.
How your price is built
The starting point is a price per 1,000 followers for one feed post. It is then adjusted for how your engagement compares with accounts your size, and for your niche.
Reels and stories are priced from that feed post rate. Usage rights and exclusivity are added as a monthly percentage on top.
Typical engagement at your size
Engagement falls as accounts grow: roughly 4.5% below 10,000 followers, down to about 1% beyond 500,000.
typical engagement = based on followers
Engagement factor
Your engagement against the typical level, smoothed so one great month does not double your price. Capped between 0.6 and 2.
factor = (your engagement ÷ typical)0.7
Price a feed post
Followers in thousands, times your base rate, your niche and your engagement factor.
post = followers ÷ 1,000 × base rate × niche × factor
Price reels and stories
A reel costs 1.35 times a post; a story frame costs 0.3 times.
reel = post × 1.35, story = post × 0.3
Add rights and exclusivity
25% of the content fee per month of usage rights, and 20% per month of exclusivity.
total = content × (1 + 0.25 × usage months + 0.20 × exclusive months)
Instagram pricing FAQ
What should an Instagram post cost a brand?
A common starting rate is about $10 per 1,000 followers for a feed post, adjusted afterwards for engagement and niche. That prices a 20,000-follower account at roughly $200 a post before adjustments. Strong engagement, a valuable niche and extra usage rights can take it much higher.
Should reels be priced above feed posts?
Usually yes. Reels take more work and can travel far beyond your followers, so many creators charge 20 to 50 percent more than for a still post. Stories cost less because they vanish after a day, often a quarter to a third of a post rate.
What engagement rate is good on Instagram?
It drops as accounts get bigger. Accounts under 10,000 followers often see 3 to 5 percent, mid-sized accounts 1.5 to 3 percent and large accounts 1 percent or lower. The calculator measures yours against the typical level for your size and moves your price accordingly.
What are usage rights, and are they worth charging for?
Usage rights allow a brand to reuse your content in its own ads, site or emails, where it keeps working long after your post. Charge for that, commonly 20 to 50 percent per month of use or a flat fee, and put the period and channels in writing.
What is exclusivity in an influencer contract?
It bars you from working with the brand's competitors for an agreed time. Because it costs you other deals, the brand should pay for it, and 15 to 30 percent per month of exclusivity is a common place to start.
Do micro-influencers have to charge less?
Less per post, but not less per follower. Smaller accounts often have much higher engagement and a closer audience, so brands can get better results per dollar. Do not cut your rate just because the follower number is small.
Are these prices final?
No, they are a starting point for a quote. Results from earlier campaigns, such as clicks and sales, are the best argument for charging more.
